From Global News.
Hundreds of students protested near the school campus where a Bangladesh air force jet crashed on Monday, demanding government transparency as the number of dead rises in the wake of the tragedy.
At least 31 people have been confirmed dead, and authorities say at least 25 are children.
“We heard that a lot of students are still missing. We heard that many bodies are kept on hold in secret,” said Maimuna Amir, a Grade 12 student at Milestone School and College.
“Many ambulances entered but many parents are still waiting to find their children’s whereabouts.”
An uncle of a Grade 3 student said Tuesday he was still searching for his niece and had still not found her after checking with over 10 hospitals.
“Where shall I go? I have been roaming the city like a maniac,” he said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
