From Global News.
France celebrated Bastille Day, the nation’s biggest holiday, on Monday.
In Paris, the annual celebratory parade featured fighter jets, combat vehicles and a record 7,000 military personnel, who marched down the famous Champs-Elysees.
The holiday marks the Storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789 — the event that sparked the French Revolution.
Later, tens of thousands rung out the evening with a grandiose fireworks show that lit up the sky around the Eiffel Tower.
