For the #CitizenNation soundtrack, composer Robin Hilton developed a distinctive soundscape, selecting instruments and tones to create a cohesive musical identity for the series.

“I went with solo woodwinds for their warmth, and I recorded and mixed them so you can really hear the breath moving through the instruments,” Hilton said.

Describing student Mario Antunez’s music cues, Hilton said, "It’s the sound of solitude and routine, but also a sweetness and innocence, with an undercurrent of uncertainty.”
