BREAKING: Highland Park shooter sentenced to life in prison

From MSNBC.

The man who opened fire at a Fourth of July parade near Chicago in 2022, killing seven people, has been sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
Robert E. “Bobby” Crimo III, 24, was a no-show in court on Thursday and declined to make a statement to the court, his lawyer said. Crimo pleaded guilty last month to a host of charges stemming from the mass shooting that wounded nearly 50 more people in addition to the seven deaths.
"The court finds he’s irrevocably depraved," Judge Victoria Rossetti said as she handed down the maximum sentence. "He is beyond any rehabilitation."
