From PBS NewsHour.
Firefighters are currently fighting three major wildfires around Los Angeles.
PBS News’ Stephanie Sy reports from the wreckage in Altadena, California as a result of the blazing Eaton Fire.
Sy spoke to the 86-year-old Army veteran and widower who lived alone in his now burned-down house. “He was in the garage when he heard the fire alarm go off in his house. He had received no evacuation warnings," Sy reported.
“He looked up and saw that his house was on fire.”
