Speaking in Berlin at a news conference, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Canada has narrowed the list of contenders to build the navy’s new submarines to Germany and South Korea – a contract potentially worth tens of billions of dollars.

Canada has also announced an initiative to co-operate on critical minerals, including co-funding new projects with Germany.
