From Global News.
Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand and her Japanese counterpart, Takeshi Iwaya, signed a new information sharing agreement between the two countries on Tuesday.
The agreement was agreed on during the G7 summit in Alberta in June, in an effort to build on the existing partnership between the two countries.
Both ministers noted the increased importance of the agreement, citing a “challenging” global security environment. It allows for the sharing of classified information on matters of national security.
