Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to make an announcement on new measures to support industry transformation and innovation across Canada.

This comes days after U.S. President Donald Trump implemented 35 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods outside of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).

Speaking Sunday, m Dominic LeBlanc – Canada’s minister responsible for Canada-U.S. trade – said conversations with U.S. officials over steep tariffs remain “constructive,” but a resolution is still out of reach.

Tuesday’s media availability will be held at a wood product manufacturing facility in West Kelowna, B.C. Carney will take questions following the announcement.
