The former head of the Canadian central bank, Mark Carney, has been sworn in as Canada’s new prime minister. Carney, who replaces long-time leader Justin Trudeau, is considered crisis-tested thanks to his extensive national and international experience. With Canada facing sweeping US tariffs, the 59-year-old said he hopes to find ways to work together with the Trump administration.
