Canadian sawmills brace for “very concerning” tariffs

U.S. President Donald Trump says his country doesn’t need Canadian lumber, which is among the products that could be hit with a 25 per cent tariff in February.

Trump’s comments come less than a year after the U.S. raised tariff rates on imports of Canadian softwood lumber products from 8.05 per cent to 14.54 per cent.
