Carrie Fisher doubted ‘Star Wars’ could work in 1977. Then, she saw it

In 1977, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, who played Princess Leia and Han Solo, respectively, joined "Good Morning America" to discuss "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope." Fisher revealed at the time that she hadn’t been able to visualize the film when she first read the script and didn’t think they could pull off the special effects, given the film’s budget. Then, she saw the movie, and like all of us, she was amazed.
