Child With Autism Rescued From Busy Freeway

From Inside Edition.

There were nail-biting moments on a California freeway, as police tried to rescue a child. It happened after an 11-year-old boy with autism ran out of a supermarket in the town of Santee. His family couldn’t find the child, who is non-verbal – so they called 911. Less than an hour later, Shiloh Corbet, an off duty dispatcher with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, was driving home from work, and spotted the boy near an on-ramp.
