Conclave: Cardinals enter seclusion to elect new pope

One hundred and thirty-three cardinals from around the world, including from Canada, and the most senior members of the Catholic Church, will take part in the secret conclave, where they will be barred from contact with the outside world to decide who should succeed Pope Francis.

Tomorrow morning, they will begin voting by secret ballot. Two-thirds majority is required to confirm a new pope.
