In March 2025, DC Comics released a one-shot Harley Quinn comic so unhinged it almost feels like a parody… except it’s genuine. Centered around Harley being cursed with uncontrollable flatulence by a villain named “Dutch Oven,” the issue quickly devolves into a bizarre mix of fetish fuel, scratch-and-sniff pages, and scenes that critics say reference inflation kinks and even James Joyce’s infamous fart letters. Despite some defenders praising its art and weird charm, most fans and reviewers were left questioning how this got past editorial, and whether DC Comics is leaning too hard into internet shock value. One thing’s clear, this comic stinks, and not just literally.
