From Global News.
192 journalists and media workers have been killed in Gaza, primarily by the Israeli military, since Oct. 7, 2023, said Jodie Ginsberg, CEO of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
"This is without a shadow of a doubt, the most deadliest conflict for journalists that the Committee to Protect Journalists has ever documented," she added.
At least six journalists were killed in a single Israeli airstrike last weekend — among them two Al Jazeera correspondents and two cameramen, including prominent Gaza reporter Anas al-Sharif.
Israel says the journalists were linked to Hamas but Al Jazeera and media watchdogs firmly deny those claims.
