South Africa’s Endangered Wildlife Trust has trained dogs to sniff out a critically endangered species of tortoise, only found in the southern tip of Africa. The dogs’ help has become crucial in studying and protecting the geometric tortoise, whose population is dwindling due to habitat loss.
