“When it’s not the ultra, ultra right, we’ll have a lot of people that … identify with our music even though they don’t vote the same as us,” Ken Casey, the lead singer and front man for the popular Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys, said.
Casey has recently gone viral for a number of clips from one of the band’s shows, including confrontations with audience members over politics. He spoke with The Atlantic about the release of Dropkick Murphys’ newest album, “For the People,” and the role of punk music today.
