Dutch honour Canadian vets at 80th anniversary ceremony for Netherlands liberation

Over the next several days, the Dutch are commemorating the liberation of the Netherlands from Nazi occupation – and Canada’s critical contribution.

80 years ago, Canadian soldiers helped drive German troops out of the country.

On Friday, veterans were part of a ceremony at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery.

Global’s Mike Armstrong is in the Netherlands and reports on an effort by volunteers in both countries to give fallen troops their stories back.
