Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, two industrial designers from the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) are developing the ‘Lilium’, a modern, sustainable and pain-free alternative to the vaginal speculum, a metallic medical device first designed in the 19th century to examine a woman’s vagina and cervix.
