‘Eating themselves alive’: Fmr. GOP advisor says Dems ‘struck gold’ as GOP splinters over Epstein

The House Oversight Committee voted 8-2 to subpoena the Justice Department for all unredacted files related to Jeffrey Epstein, with three Republicans joining Democrats to defy party leadership. A separate subpoena was issued for Ghislaine Maxwell to testify next month. On Morning Joe, GOP strategist Brendan Buck said Republicans are “eating themselves alive,” struggling to control the fallout, while “Democrats have absolutely struck gold” heading into the August recess.
