An American Airlines plane from Las Vegas was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after take off on Wednesday after smoke was seen rising out of the engine. One passenger on the flight described it as “extremely tense” and told NBC News “It felt like forever, and every time that the engine popped it sounded like gunshots.” NBC’s Sam Brock reports for TODAY.
