As Erin makes its closest approach to the coast, it remains a Category 2 hurricane. According to the National Hurricane Center at 5 a.m. on Thursday, Erin was just over 200 miles east-southeast from Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and has begun to move away from the coast. #CNN #news
