Authorities in Spain broke up an exotic cat smuggling operation, rescuing 19 rare felines in the process. It happened on the Spanish island of Mallorca, where police arrested two people involved in the operation. They say the couple sold cats on the internet. Among the cats authorities confiscated was a caracal, sometimes known as a desert lynx, and two servals. In addition to the animals, agents from Spain’s Civil Guard found phony animal passports and medical documentation.
