Among those in the group chat were Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe, who testified before Congress today. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz started the group text chain on the messaging app and mistakenly added the journalist Jeffrey Goldberg. Goldberg says he was in a supermarket parking lot when his phone notified him that the attack on the Houthis was happening.
