One family was devastated when their beloved family rescue dog unexpectedly died in April. A day after the 15-year-old rat terrier-Chihuahua mix died, mom Jillian and 6-year-old Maya were scrolling through a local dog rescue’s Facebook page and saw a dog that looked just like Rufus. Three days later, they adopted Ziggy because he reminded them so much of Rufus. Jillian decided to pay for a DNA test, and the family found out that their new senior rescue pup, Ziggy, is Rufus’ father.
