Marine Le Pen arrives at the Paris courthouse, where the court is set to deliver a sentence after convicting the far-right leader on charges of embezzlement of public funds over a fake jobs scam at the EU parliament, a ruling which could derail her 2027 presidential hopes. The judge has yet to issue a sentence, after prosecutors last year asked the court to impose against the president of the National Rally group in the National Assembly a five-year jail term and a five-year ban on holding public office.
