Flames and plumes of smoke are visible at the Esmeraldas refinery as authorities block access, as a fire in a fuel tank brings production at Ecuador’s largest oil facility to a halt. The state oil company Petroecuador says there are no injuries from the blaze, the cause of which remains unknown.
