Spanish forest rangers were deployed into areas around the town of El Arenal, around 62 miles west of Madrid, as wildfires raged in central Spain. In the Caceres region on July 30, about 150 members of the Spanish Military Emergency Unit battled a wildfire, video released by the unit showed.
