First Australian-built rocket fails just 14 seconds into flight

From Cheddar.

Australia’s first homegrown rocket lasted just 14 seconds.

The Eris rocket, built by startup Gilmour Space Technologies, cleared the launch tower before crashing near the pad. Designed to carry small satellites to orbit, it was the first locally built rocket to lift off from Australian soil.

Despite the crash, the company called the test a success.
