Flash floods in Indian-administered Kashmir kill at least 5, wash away houses

Heavy rains plunged parts of Indian-administered Kashmir into a state of crisis, with flash floods and rising river waters wreaking havoc across the region on Tuesday.
 
"We got information about a landslide around Indraprastha area… Five bodies have been brought into CHC (community health center) Katra and we have information of about 10-11 injured persons," said Piyush Dhotra, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Katra.
 
"Till now, around 20 houses have been washed away," a local resident said.
 
This month, floods in Jammu and Kashmir have killed at least 60 people and nearly 400 more in northwest Pakistan.
