Jack Smith, the man once charged with investigating President Donald Trump, is now under investigation himself. The U.S. Office of the Special Counsel confirmed the unusual move on Saturday, saying that it’s looking into claims that Smith acted politically. Smith was appointed in 2022 to investigate Donald Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified information and attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Smith resigned shortly before President Trump’s second inauguration.
