An accountant who used to work for TurboTax is speaking out after many customers were left with unexpected and shockingly high bills when Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audits found they had received financial credits they weren’t entitled to.

Customers suggest the tax filing service is to blame – and the accountant[insert name if possible] says if that’s the case, TurboTax should honour its “accuracy guarantee.”

At issue is how TurboTax calculated eligibility for the Ontario Child Tax Care Credit, also known as the Ontario Access and Relief from Expenses (CARE) tax credit.
