A spring storm bringing freezing rain and ice pellets is currently affecting the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Wednesday, adding to the woes of residents still recovering from last weekend’s ice storm.

In Barrie, where debris is still being cleared, tree removal crews have been working tirelessly.

Environment Canada has forecasted an additional 30 to 50 millimeters of freezing rain, compounding the stress for residents already dealing with the aftermath of the earlier storm.
