The Golden Dome missile defence system is a very ambitious proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump that will push towards the boundaries of space.

There’s a hefty cost to it, but Canada is expressing interest in taking part as security and defence have become top priorities for the federal government.

And unlike Israel’s “Iron Dome,” which defends against short range threats, America’s “Golden Dome” would be defending a much larger area against a much wider range of threats from countries like China and Russia.
