Florida State University Police Chief Jason Trumbower said two people were killed and five have been transported to hospital after a shooter opened fire on the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee, Fla., on Thursday.

Police said the shooter, who has yet to be identified, is in police custody and is believed to be an FSU student. Police also said the two people pronounced dead are not students.

Those who were injured in the shooting were transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Hospital, a hospital spokesperson confirmed to CBS News Miami.
