U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed Donald Trump’s suggestion that Canada should become the 51st state, saying the idea is not up for discussion at the upcoming G7 summit.

While acknowledging that “Canadians don’t agree apparently,” Rubio emphasized that the meeting will focus on key issues like Ukraine, NORAD cooperation, and global security.

Shutting down speculation, he added, “It’s not a meeting of how we are going to take over Canada.”
