New Brunswick is taking new measures to curb the wildfire risk across the province. Following a similar move by Nova Scotia, the government ordered people to "stay out of the woods." Johnny James reports on the high-risk circumstances and what residents need to know.

Environment Canada issued heat alerts across Newfoundland and Labrador and much of Quebec and Ontario. In Toronto, the humidex is pushing 40 degrees, marking the city’s sixth heat warning of the year. Germain Ma reports on how residents are coping.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed he will make no territorial concessions to Russia ahead of a summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska next week. Zelenskyy has not been invited to the talks, though reports suggest the White House is considering it. Vincent McAviney has the story.
