Anticipation is building as the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is set to go into effect Sunday morning. In Gaza, pummelled by Israeli airstrikes for well over a year, close to two million people have been displaced. In the U.S., preparations are well underway for president-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. The ceremony has been moved indoors for the first time since 1985. TikTok, one of the world’s most popular social media apps, got a lifeline Saturday. The app was supposed to be shut down in the U.S. on Sunday, but Trump says he’ll “most likely” give the app a 90-day buffer after his inauguration.
