The Trump Administration is curbing due process rights for migrants arrested by ICE. They’ve declared undocumented immigrants ineligible for bond, and those detained in ICE facilities are being denied access to legal representation. American Immigration Council’s Dara Lind says the American justice system has a tendency to turn a “blind eye” to immigrants’ due process rights. The ACLU’s Lee Gelernt says lawyers have been unable to access their clients: “We can’t get in to see these people. They need lawyers. That’s part and parcel of due process.”
