From Inside Edition.
A solemn artifact was returned to a soldier’s family, years after it had gone missing. Joseph William Morrison served in the US Army during World War One, and was killed in action in France. Joseph’s mother was given the WWI Gold Star Mothers and Widows Pilgrimage Medal after she was able to visit his grave. The Morrison family held on to the medal for decades, but eventually it ended up in an unclaimed safe deposit box.
