President Trump took to Truth Social this week to announce he’d directed the termination of the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics just hours after a weak jobs report showed signs of a clear slowdown in the job market. Trump also claimed the numbers were rigged to make Republicans and him look bad and said he didn’t believe the numbers in an interview Friday night. It’s important to note, Wall Street posted its worst day in months as investors absorbed the impacts of new Trump tariffs and the poor jobs report.
