Fears are growing in Uganda of an escalating crackdown on dissent. In just the past few months, opposition leader Kizza Besigye has been charged with treason, his lawyer was imprisoned, and several activists have been arrested for criticizing the government online. DW correspondent Julius Mugambwa has more from Kampala, on what critics are calling a dangerous new phase of repression.
