Growing rift between the United States and Europe over Ukraine apparent at UN Council | DW News

From DW News.

The United States has split with its European allies at the UN Security Council, where the US refused to back a resolution that would label Russia as the ‘aggressor’ in Ukraine’s war. The security council approved a US-drafted resolution calling for a swift end to the Ukraine war, without blaming Russia. France has abstained from voting on the US-resolution. Despite this, President Trump has again stated the conflict could end within weeks and that President Zelenskyy might be back in Washington this week or next.
