South Texas is facing a major flood threat starting Wednesday and lasting through Friday – which could see a foot or more of rain accumulate – nearly half of the annual average in the region. The rainfall will initially be beneficial as South Texas has seen outbreaks of fires and frequent dust storms in recent weeks as severe drought covers the region – but the system promises to deliver way too much of a good thing.
