Images show a cloud of yellow dust and dirt approaching the Iraqi city of Najaf as a sandstorm hits the country’s centre and south, where authorities have reported more than 520 cases of suffocation. Air traffic was also temporarily halted at Najaf and Basra international airports due to what authorities said were "dense dust waves" causing "zero visibility in many areas".
