Elon Musk was already the subject of "shadow president" jokes as he has been omni-present at Donald Trump’s side since shepherding Trump to victory with a substantial portion of his massive wealth. Now Musk has also assumed a shadow leadership role for House Republicans as well, whipping opposition to an already settled spending bill and even rousing Trump to follow his lead.
