From DW News.
Since February 2025, aid organizations have felt the impact of the Trump administration’s decision to not only shut down USAID, but also cut its funding to aid and humanitarian organisations. In Kenya, these cuts can now be felt in the country’s two major refugee camps, Kakuma and Dadaab, where refugees depend on rations from the UN’s World Food Program. In June and July, food rations for refugees were cut down to 30 percent. From August, nearly half of the refugees will no longer receive any food aid, as only the most vulnerable can be catered for.
