The tongue-in-cheek song about an intoxicated grandma getting run over by Santa’s reindeer has been a holiday staple for 45 years. Its origins date way back to 1978, when Dr. Elmo Shropshire was touring in a bluegrass duo with his wife. While on a stop in Lake Tahoe, they heard a local musician performing a novelty song that was truly bizarre. The title was "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." Inside Edition’s Les Trent has more.
