The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has described the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as a ‘horror show’. Addressing the UN Security Council, Guterres said that the system of distributing aid in Gaza is "being denied the conditions to function". He made this stark warning while Israel continued its ground offensive in the Gazan city of Deir al Balah, with health officials in Gaza reporting dozens of malnutrition-related deaths.
