After raising nearly $40,000 through a crowdfunding campaign, Dominick Lewis, 31, turned his online business into a physical camera store in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. The company, which brought in $1.1 million in sales last year, expanded from a 350-square-foot studio to a 1,500-square-foot storefront in July 2025.
